My wife Nicki (favourite biking buddy in the photo) and I recently completed riding the trail, starting at Petone and finished at Day’s Bay over 3 days. The highlights for us were the Remutaka Rail Trail section through the stunning scenery of the Pakuratahi Forest and the history of the construction of the railway. And the rustic coastal scenery of the Wild Coast section of the trail. All in all, it was great 3 day adventure in the saddle.
