We often host journalists, photographers, film crews and influencers on our Great Rides. If you would like to apply for potential support on a self-guided trip you will find all the information you need to contact us and start your application below.

The 23 Ngā Haerenga Great Rides of New Zealand are spread throughout the country. Mostly off-road with adventures to suit everyone, these trails blend world-class scenery, history and heritage, along with award-winning food and wine, and must-see attractions.

They are the perfect way to explore, enjoy, and share special times with family and friends at your own pace.

Apply for support

Applying for support for a self-guided trip allows you and your travel companions to curate your own Ngā Haerenga Great Rides of New Zealand cycling itinerary through a mix of direct payment, complimentary accommodation and operator expenses covered, and discounts generously provided by our official partner tourism businesses.

The support provided will be dependent on the return on investment received from your trip and subsequent coverage.

You choose when to travel (travel is encouraged February-November outside of peak season), what regions and operators to visit and then experience Aotearoa New Zealand at your own pace.

Who can apply?

You must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

● Be media, an influencer, or provide content that supports promoting the Great Rides of New Zealand

● Signed up to our mailing list

● Following our Instagram and FB page.

Discounts

Depending on the time of the year, support required (full or partial) and level of coverage. Discounts for travel companions will be on a case by case bases .

How do I apply?

Simply fill out the application form below. We will review your application within 14 working days. If approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how to book. Please note, applications must not be within 30 days of travelling to New Zealand.

Travel is encouraged between February and November.
