Your hosts have converted their large villa into a luxury lodge. The Lodge is within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants and cafes, pubs and main street shops. Te Aroha Mineral Spas are conveniently located right next door.

Café 77 - Manawaru
Café 77 is located right on the Trail half-way between TeAroha and Matamata welcoming cyclists with great food, coffee & drinks with indoor/outdoor seating. Free Wifi, air compressors & bike tool kits are available for the quick fix-its.
Courtyard Café - Paeroa
Close to trail and located in the heart of Paeroa, a cosy café with a good sized courtyard out back. All-day breakfast, great cabinet food or choose from the blackboard menu. Fresh, flavoursome including GF & vegan choices.
Dickson Holiday Park
Situated 2kms from the Trail at the north of Thames. Located off the Thames Coast highway, set beside a stream & surrounded by native bush with walking tracks at the gate. Offering self-contained cabins, onsite caravans, camping sites.
Firth Tower Museum - Matamata
Built in 1882, Firth Tower is steeped in history. Right on the trail, you'll find museum displays housed in thirteen buildings including authentically furnished homestead and workers cottage circa 1900. Enjoy the tranquil gardens, wide lawns and shady trees.
Gastronomics Restaurant & Bar
Located in the heart of Thames just minutes from the trail, offering great dining in comfort and style. Opens 5pm Monday to Saturday for dinner service. Closed Sunday. Lunch service for pre-booked group bookings of 15 or more only.
Travel back in time and enjoy a ride on a heritage train with Goldfields Railway between Waihi and Waikino stations. You can take your bike with you. Stay overnight at Waihi Station, with overnight parking for motorhomes and caravans.
