Fancy riding New Zealand’s longest cycle trail, and have all the hard work done for you? Okay, you will have to do the pedalling but just about everything else is taken care of on Adventure South NZ’s (www.adventuresouth.co.nz) six-day tours on the Alps 2 Ocean.

There are three guaranteed trips this April, departing April 7th, 19th and 26th.

Starting in iconic Lake Tekapo, this Great Ride serves up epic vistas on its way from the foot of the Southern Alps all the way to the Pacific Ocean.

  • The Mackenzie country’s turquoise lakes & golden tussock
  • Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park walks
  • Intriguing hydro-dams & power stations
  • Limestone wonders including Elephant Rocks
  • Spectacular night skies in Tekapo & beyond
  • Craft breweries & Waitaki wine country
  • Country towns, pubs, cafes & shops
  • Omarama’s alfresco hot tubs

The package includes accommodation; breakfasts, lunches and dinners; luggage transfers; professional guides and a private support vehicle. You can bring your own bikes, or hire them from Adventure South, including e-bikes for those who really want to take it easy.
